About this data

Source: Election Commission of India, statistical reports for the 1972 Delhi assembly election (detailed results, list of winners, list of parties). Vote shares are of valid votes, excluding NOTA, as ECI reports them. Turnout here is votes counted (including NOTA) divided by electors, so it runs slightly below ECI's official figure, which also counts rejected votes.

This was the Delhi Metropolitan Council (or, in 1951, the Delhi State Assembly), not a full Legislative Assembly.

Map boundaries are approximate and for illustration.
