About this data

Source: Election Commission of India, statistical reports for the 1962 Punjab assembly election (detailed results, list of winners, list of parties). Vote shares are of valid votes, excluding NOTA, as ECI reports them. Turnout here is votes counted (including NOTA) divided by electors, so it runs slightly below ECI's official figure, which also counts rejected votes.

Held before the 1966 reorganisation: this Punjab included today's Haryana and parts of Himachal Pradesh.

Map boundaries are approximate and for illustration.
