About this data
Source: Election Commission of India, statistical reports for the 1977 Bihar assembly election (detailed results, list of winners, list of parties). Vote shares are of valid votes, excluding NOTA, as ECI reports them. Turnout here is votes counted (including NOTA) divided by electors, so it runs slightly below ECI's official figure, which also counts rejected votes.
Held before Jharkhand was split off in November 2000: the seats include those of today's Jharkhand.
Map boundaries are approximate and for illustration.
