About this data
Source: Election Commission of India, statistical reports for the 1962 Andhra Pradesh assembly election (detailed results, list of winners, list of parties). Vote shares are of valid votes, excluding NOTA, as ECI reports them. Turnout here is votes counted (including NOTA) divided by electors, so it runs slightly below ECI's official figure, which also counts rejected votes.
Held before Telangana was split off in June 2014: the 294 seats include the Telangana region, which today is a separate state.
6 seats were won unopposed, so no poll was held there.
